OF SARGASSUM COLLECTION
In just 30 minutes, we can harvest 20m3 of sargassum. During 14 hours of daylight, using two CleanCat systems with two people per boat (plus one on the tractor), we can removes more than 1000m3 of sargassum per day.
Loading
Loading 20 cubic meters (m³) of sargassum behind the anti-sargassum barrier (10 minutes)
Moving
Moving to a nearby beach access point with the tractor trailer (5 minutes).
Landing
Landing on the beach and unloading from the CleanCat System into the trailer (10 minutes)
Returning
Returning to the harvesting point (5 minutes)

Aventura Boats has partnered with S.E.L, a company based near LA ROCHELLE in France, as their technical partner for this project. S.E.L is an engineering and design office with a specialization in crafting specialized industrial equipment. With over three decades of experience, S.E.L is renowned for their expertise. The owner, Erick Lavit, not only heads the company but is also a skilled boat builder and enthusiastic sailor.

SARGASSUM PROBLEM
Each year, the invasion of sargassum impacts the beaches of our country, the precious “white gold,” and puts the ECOSYSTEM and the value of the tourist destination at risk.
The solution: installing FIXED ANTI-SARGASSUM BARRIERS in the sea, with the aim of keeping the beaches free of contamination.
However, if the algae confined behind the barriers are not collected quickly, they decompose, sink, and affect the water quality and coral reefs.
EFFICIENT SARGASSUM MANAGEMENT REQUIRES A SYSTEM FOR COLLECTING THE ALGAE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AFTER IT ARRIVES AT THE BARRIERS.
Sargassum collection boats are the necessary complement to anti-sargassum barriers. The current platforms are not adapted to the navigation conditions of the Caribbean, deteriorate rapidly, and the collection and unloading processes are inefficient and random.

CLEANCAT 42 System
Our Clean Cat is designed to navigate coastal waters, efficiently collecting sargassum without causing harm to the marine ecosystem.
Equipped with advanced technology and specialized filtering systems, it can swiftly and effectively gather large volumes of sargassum, thus preventing its accumulation on beaches
Adaptability
It is fully adapted to the Caribbean area, its ability to navigate shallow beaches makes it ideal for collecting sargassum
Clean in Collaboration
CLEANCAT'S can be grouped into patrols and clean in collaboration the areas with the highest concentration of sargassum that are monitored by drones.
Eco-tourism
Can accommodate 8/12 passengers, in order to raise awareness among tourists about the environmental challenges of the destination and all ongoing actions for the protection of marine ecosystems
Adaptability
The conveyor belts can be easily dismantled and the ships transformed to offer tourist services, providing an alternative source of income to the investment.
CleanCat Specifications
The boat has two powerful 4-stroke outboard engines, each with a power of 250HP, ensuring optimal performance on the water. Additionally, it is equipped with a marinized diesel power plant, guaranteeing a continuous power supply at all times. To facilitate harvest and discharge operations, a stainless steel conveyor belt with a sturdy aluminum structure is present.
This conveyor belt maximizes storage on the platform with a capacity of 20m3, and its discharge has also been automated for greater efficiency. It can navigate at a speed of 20 knots when empty and 10 knots when loaded.
